Williams Advanced Engineering have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a fast paced and dynamic team. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join the Electrical department on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Manager – Electrical Systems, this is a key role where the successful candidate will be responsible for Integrating customer, proprietary and bespoke electrical systems and components to achieve vehicle targets.
The successful candidate will design and develop electrical and electronic systems for vehicle programme applications. Generate system architecture diagrams and circuit drawings to support electrical design activity whilst considering the use of alternative materials and technologies in pursuit of the optimal design for cost, weight and performance. The successful individual will also support the electrical systems manager with supervising and mentoring the more junior engineers within the team.
Key tasks will include assisting with the build and fault-finding of projects, supporting virtual and physical builds for components and vehicles. You will also define and execute system test and validation activities.
It is essential that you have extensive experience in electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries, with a working knowledge of Vector tools including CANalyser.
Experience of Electric Vehicles – HV charging, HV battery, HV powertrain systems and requirements Capture Tools, such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational Doors would be advantageous. You will ideally be familiar with developing ISO26262 compliant systems.
