Senior Contract Coordinator

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Contract Coordinator based in Charlotte, NC.

The Senior Contract Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks supporting the legal and rights and clearance team, with drafting and administration of various clearance releases, license agreements and other related agreements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Works directly with the Media Counsel to determine the validity of contracts and the level of priority, ensuring the timely processing and execution of all contracts.
  • Maintains the rights and clearances spreadsheet which tracks releases that are sent out and for project work, maintain the rights and clearance bible in accordance with directions provided by client.
  • Heavily involved in contract process from initiation through execution.
  • Serves as a liaison between Legal Department and NMV business units.
  • Analyzes, drafts, edits, prepares, and (under attorney supervision) negotiates standard and non-standard releases and agreements for execution.
  • Audits legal files prior to closing to ensure proper documentation is included and proper procedures are followed for contract processing.
  • Answers and appropriately handles inquiries regarding contract status and, as appropriate, other legal issues.
  • Prepares research and analysis on occasional basis.
  • Responsible for integrating and developing technology and systems used within the Legal Department.
  • Provides support as back-up support for other legal staff and/or needed for ad-hoc projects.
  • Must be detailed oriented and organized.  Requires accurate data entry in the legal system and ability to follow and track through a high volume of emails the tasks that are required to be handled.
  • Approximate travel 10%.

Required skills / experience:                        

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or an associate of arts degree (A.A.) from a community college; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced skills on Company provided hardware and software and ability to effectively work with all software used by the legal department, including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word with ability to track changes, Excel and PowerPoint), Worksite, Work Day and SharePoint.
  • Analytical, negotiation, organization, detail oriented, time management, multi-tasking, prioritization, and accurate data entry.
