As a Key Contributor You Will
Direct the manufacturing of composite prototype components, assist in the design and manufacturing of molds and analyze opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency within our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Act as the primary liaison between the design engineering team and composite manufacturing team
- Attend design reviews for composite parts and assemblies to provide input on DFM, weight and cost concerns
- Assist design engineers with drafting, review and approval of composite part drawings
- Define and establish composite part manufacturing processes that are efficient and meet internal quality requirements
- Create work instructions and routings for composite parts suitable for low-volume prototype production
- Lead the design and manufacturing effort of molds built in house and/or through suppliers
