Senior Aero Performance Engineer

The Position:

We are looking for the next generation of aero performance engineers, bringing with them a diversity of background and experiences, combining an enthusiasm for our sport with the creativity to innovate and challenge the status quo.

 

The Role:

  • You’ll be expected to carry data analysis to maximise the performance of our race car.

  • You will be analysing data from track testing, our driver in the loop simulator, on-site wind tunnel and CFD to analyse correlation to our simulation tools.

  • You will manage correlation projects to assess and improve the accuracy of our CFD and Wind Tunnel to deliver performance on track.

  • You will develop experimental approaches in the wind tunnel and on the race car to answer fundamental questions on correlation.

  • You will play a key role in the improvement and development of our data analysis tool suite, collaborating with dedicated software engineers.

  • You work in this role will influence all aspect of our aero performance, from the directions chosen in development to the way we setup our car to maximise performance at the track.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You have a solid understanding of race car vehicle dynamics and a passion for optimising on track performance.

  • You are familiar with scientific coding languages and not afraid to develop your own data analysis tools to get to the answer you seek.

  • You have a background in aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics or mechanical engineering.

  • You enjoy teamwork and know how to communicate effectively.

  • We will consider every experience level.

  • For the senior position you will need a proven track record of analysing performance data from experimental and simulation environments.
