General Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer or their designee; and is located in Banbury, UK. This role plays a significant part in the monthly reporting and month end close processes and assist in monthly tax compliance filings in Europe. The work will span over both European companies in the UK and Italy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Manage the timely release of accruals and prepayments in line with the budget and underlying substance of the transactions.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring additions, disposals and depreciation entries are processed timely in accordance with internal policies.
  • Prepare all month end reconciliations for the UK and Italian companies, providing explanations for reconciling items.
  • Prepare monthly/ quarterly financial analysis including movements in the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Prepare detailed audit schedules for annual statutory audits for UK, Italian and US companies.
  • Prepare quarterly multi-currency and multi-GAAP reconciliations. Including reconciling, at transaction level detail, postings in Haas Formula Italia’s statutory ledgers and AX.
  • Prepare UK quarterly VAT returns and oversee Italian VAT reporting.
  • Prepare monthly UK, Spanish and Italian Intrastat and other compliance filings.
  • Assist in the annual transfer pricing policy updates.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist in the preparation and reporting of information ensuring compliance with the F1 Financial Regulations.
  • Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Chief Financial Officer or their designee.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.

Education and Work Experience

ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred with 2 years of post-qualified work experience. A suitable grounding in accounting principles and an understanding of FRS 102 and group accounting preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills 

  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, communication and confidentiality.
  • Be flexible and opened minded when dealing with problems.
  • Highly motivated and keen whilst also being able to work under time pressures to meet monthly reporting and filing deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills; be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Italian GAAP and Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred will be beneficial.
