About Sales, Service andMarketing (SSM)

Driving all of GeneralMotors Sales for North America this group is made up of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC brandsas well as our Sales Operations groups. For the race enthusiast we are also thehome to Motorsports and accessories which provides a large contribution to therevenue of SSM. SSM is also the home to all of GM’s marketing groups- from autoshows, to new vehicle launches. About This Role

GM is conducting a proof of concept that allows us to exploredigital data for both customers and competitive vehicles. The hope isthat this internal process could replace the JD Powers O2O process that hadbeen paid for by the brands in past years. The team is working with IHS Markitto bring in one month of Chevy Brand website visitordata to measure GM and Competitive vehicle sales. The website visitors will beassociated to households via the LiveRamp process. An analyticalspreadsheet with competitive Sales data based on Brand website visitors will beprovided to GM. The intern will leverage the data to explore andidentify insights that could provide valuable information to help drive sitestrategies. GM will gain valuable insights on customers who visited GMweb assets but decided to buy a competitive vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Marketing, or related fields
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Preferred graduation year: 2021
  • Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
  • Able to work full-time - 40 hours per week during the summer months

Location

The internship is based at GM’s global headquarters in Detroit, MI.
