Sales & Event Coordinator

NOLA Motorsports Park is looking for a bright and motivated Sales & Event Coordinator to join our team and concentrate on private event sales and the execution of those events. This position is responsible for providing high quality and efficient customer service to all customers and potential customers. Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Sales: 50%
  • Create a profitable stream of private events year round
  • Develop creative concepts and marketing ideas to result in sales for the company
  • Develop a client base through phone leads, referrals, meetings, community involvement and prospecting
  • Follow up with leads and closing sales
  • Prepare sales report showing volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Asses current package pricing and upsell items
  • Event Coordination: 50%
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes and facilitates private events
  • Coordinate client site-visits and facility walk-throughs prior to the event
  • Owner of the venue calendar and scheduling of all track events
  • Prepare and modify event contracts
  • Present ideas and resolutions to client needs
  • Coordinate event needs with all internal departments using our EIS sheet

Requirements:

  • Self-directed, responsible and strong written and oral communication
  • 1-3 experience in hospitality, hotel or convention sales and/or event management
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management and/or business
  • Nights and weekends availability
  • Proficient with Hubspot or other CRM software
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
