Safety & Rescue Team Member

The Safety Team is stationed in a vehicle on the track and responds to all incidents; fire, medical, mechanical etc. They must be able to move quickly and handle stressful environments. The team wears helmets and protective fire suits.

The job description includes, but not limited to the following:

  • State Certified Fire Fighter Level 1 or equivalent
  • EMT-R or State Certified EMT – Basic or higher
  • Valid driver license
  • Operate rescue equipment
  • Operate unique equipment in a race track environment
  • Physically able to stand extreme heat conditions
  • Physically able to lift heavy loads ( Min. 50lbs ) and be able to perform physical activity in a race track environment
  • Have a general understanding of the different types of racing that take place at COTA
  • Able to communicate and work with radios
  • Protect and maintain COTA equipment and property
  • Be able to work in a team environment and show respect for teammates
  • Have flexibility in work hours and be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to changing work conditions
  • Bring a professional work attitude
  • Be detail oriented
