REMOTE OPERATIONS CENTRE (ROC) & RACE DIRECTION MANAGERIAL POSITIONS

The Single-Seater Department is looking to strengthen the F1 Sporting Group in order to define and implement its medium- to long-term strategy for development of the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) facilities and capabilities, as well as oversee the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) operations. The positions require extensive worldwide travel to assist the Race Director in the running of F1 events.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Act as the primary point of communication between the ROC and trackside race control
- Be in charge of the day-to-day management of ROC facilities and coordinate additional ROC support staff sourced from within the FIA
- Liaise with relevant suppliers for maintenance, service and upgrade of the ROC and collaborate with the FIA IS Group on the development of race management and analysis software tools
- Liaise with the Sporting Director on the writing and development of the Sporting Regulations and on the running of the Sporting Advisory Committee meetings
- During events, coordinate the deployment and retraction of the Safety Car during races, acting as the liaison between Race Control and the ROC during race weekends, and answering intercom calls from F1 teams during track running
 

PROFILE :

- University degree in engineering, sports management or equivalent
- At least 15 years' relevant experience in F1 or a high-level motor sport field or in race management
- Good knowledge of F1 Sporting and Technical Regulations (major asset)
- Good knowledge of F2 and F3 Sporting and Technical Regulations (strongly desirable)
- Previous experience in motor sport data analysis (major asset)
- Previous experience with video analysis tools (strongly desirable)
- Fluent English, French a plus
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to travel extensively (about 24 events per year)
