Regional Sales Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop and increase sales revenue to exceed assigned targets, within the Automotive and Powersports industry, within all trade channels involved (National and Regional distributors, e-tailers, retailers, Tier 1/bulk oil distributors).
  • Be actively involved in a new resellers sales orientation and sales training programs with our distributors’' sales force and our distributors’ customers.
  • Become an expert at selling engine oil and lubricants to distributors. The Regional Sales Manager is the technical expert when it comes down to Motul products and its competitive edge on the market place.
  • Acts as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and building proposals within Motul USA guidelines and Sales policy.
  • Assists resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
  • Assists with the planning, and attendance of regional trade shows and customer events.
  • Coordinates and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
  • Keeps informed of new products launching, coop marketing opportunities and sales incentives with customers.
  • Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.
  • Attend races and other sponsoring events that are part of Motul USA promotion across the United States and Canada.
  • Answers questions from resellers and handles complaints, within Motul USA guidelines and policy.
  • Reports to the Motul North America National Sales Director.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE: 3 years+ of Account Management within the Aftermarket automotive or Powersport industry
  • MUST HAVE: Relationships and connections with regional Automotive distributors (Aftermarket, Bulk Oil, Performance)
  • MUST HAVE: Deep understanding of Automotive and Powersport mechanics.
  • Familiarity with the Powersport business is a plus.
  • Exceptional personal drive and commitment to exceed Sales targets
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills and capacity to liaise with HQ’s in a structured manner to relay important messages from the field, and secure conversion of trade opportunities.
