Red Bull Technology is inviting candidates to apply for Industrial Placement positions for 2020/21. We have an exciting placement opportunity within our Vehicle Design R&D Test department.
Candidates wishing to apply for this role should be studying towards a Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Degree and have a good level of practical experience outside of education. You should be very computer literate but equally capable of performing hands-on tasks.
The placement will be for one year duration, commencing Summer 2020.
The key accountabilities are:
- To develop into playing an active role in the day-to-day function of the department, assisting with the mechanical, electronic and software based aspects of dyno preparation and operation.
- To complete dyno based gearbox component and assembly testing to the high standards set out by Red Bull Technology and the procedures defined by the R&D Test department.
- To utilise trackside data monitoring and control systems in conjunction with the test rigs.
- To assist with the analysis of results and compilation of accurate reports detailing the findings from R&D Drivetrain Testing.
- To develop CAD competency using NX through training and practice, such that detailed design drawings of Drivetrain test rig fixtures and assemblies can be released for manufacture.
- To play an active part in the presentation of the R&D Drivetrain Test Departments
