Renault Sport Racing have an opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1. As an R&D Technician, you will be undertaking lab based testing on a variety of car components, working with state of the art equipment contributing significantly to Renault Sport’s success on the track. You will be a part of a close knit and excellent team, where teamwork is paramount.
R&D Technician – The Role
You will be responsible for setting up mechanical and electrical equipment for lab based tests, fault finding regarding set up issues and communicating to test requestors any concerns regarding the setup that may negatively influence the integrity of the results. This role includes running tests on a variety of car components and correctly logging the data generated to allow for accurate analysis offering occasional support of the Seven Post Rig programme, to help fit and remove test parts on the rig car would also be required. A crucial part of this role will also include reporting test data appropriately and providing analysis whilst servicing and maintaining the lab equipment.
R&D Technician – The Person
Candidates must have substantial experience in a technical laboratory environment and should have a good understanding of testing methods using servo hydraulic test machines with data logging. We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with strong interpersonal and organisational skills who are able to work well under pressure and within tight timescale
