Thruxton Kart Centre is an outdoor Circuit of 1100m and is part of Thruxton Motorsport Centre situated alongside the A303 between Andover in Hampshire and Amesbury, Wiltshire. We require the following staff to join our team.
Race Directors/Duty Managers
HOURS: Zero Hours Contract-must be available to work evenings and weekends
HOURLY RATE: £Negotiable
RACE DIRECTORS MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet, greet and sign in customers.
- Deliver the race safety briefing
- Responsible for the implementation of the Karting Schedule of Arrive and Drive, races and corporate/group parties.
- Oversee, manage and operate the race control timing and display system to provide safe, competitive kart racing for the enjoyment of our customers.
- Act as a duty manager of the venue whilst providing strong, effective and highly visible leadership to karting staff.
- Ensure karting personnel run all races/events safely, efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure that all cash controls and cash handling procedures are followed and adhered to.
- Ensure all circuit and maintenance tasks are completed to maintain the highest standard of facility appearance.
- Be fully conversant with the Staff Handbook and the NKA (National Karting Association) guidelines.

- Enthusiasm for the role and the ability to have fun whilst working
- Flexibility to work daytime, evenings and weekends.
- Full training will be given on all products, services and pricing. You need to be a dynamic, confident person with a desire to work in the karting environment. Previous experience isn’t necessary, simply the desire and ability to learn new skills.
