Race Director

This is a permanent role, on a flexible basis. Hours will include evenings and weekends, on a rota basis. The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in Motorsport, and/or mechanics, be of a good level of fitness.

This is a managerial role and therefore the successful candidate will need to be aged 25+ years, as you will be responsible for a team of Marshals during your shift, and will need to be confident in dealing with situations on and off the track.

This role does not require any previous experience, as full training will be given.

Full role specification: -

To work in conjunction with the Company Directors and the Workshop staff in managing the administrative work and the daily kart/race programme.

To oversee marshals and the workshop regarding staffing & Kart requirements as follows:

· Enough karts for daily/weekly programme

· Adequate stock of spares and are ordered

· Fuel stock adequate

· Marshal rotas are up to date

· Ensure adequate staff allocated for the daily kart/race programme.

Race directing:

· Required amount qualified & Trained staff for event

· Ensure a qualified first aider is present whilst circuit is in use

· Safety of staff and group whilst racing

· Booking persons in through safety briefing process

· Ensure staff/marshals have work list, jobs to do

· Ensure the end of day checks & tasks have been completed

· Act as designated First Aider is not first aid qualified

· Manage Emergency Incident plan

Administrative:

· Trophy stock & ordering

· Consumables stock & ordering

· Ensuring event deposits are paid on time and taking event payments

· Answering enquiries, Booking events, and correspondence relative to events
