About Our Organization:
The Thermal Club is the premier private motorsports facility in the world. In addition to over 5 miles of members-only racetrack, the Club facilities include a fully amenitized Clubhouse and Village unrivaled in the motorsports world. Our exquisite racetrack is designed to push both amateurs and professionals to their limit, giving members the thrill of driving at peak performance amidst the endless desert skies.
Purpose:
The main role of the Race Car Coach is to set the instructional guidelines and implement safety rules for all daily driving operations (track, karting, autocross and skid pad).
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of driving programs for all levels of driver
- Ability to work on a one-on-one basis with Members
- Assist sales with prospect driving programs, conducting tours and speaking engagements
- Design fun and safe competition events for Members
- Assist in the operations of the Thermal Triple Crown GT races
- Assist in the operations of the Thermal Kart races
- Keep current on use of driving data systems (VBOX, AIM, MOTEC, Magnetii Mirelli)
- Make sure VBOX equipped Thermal cars are operational
- Assist with installing VBOX systems in Members cars
- Assist Thermal Members in obtaining competition licensing
- Coordinate with the Tuning Shop for needed vehicle assistance
- Prepare necessary run groups and prepare timelines for daily track days
- Coordinate guest driving instruction
- Conduct driving seminars for Thermal staff
- Report safety issues to the Track Operations Manager
- Oversee “rules of the road” and track safety talks with drivers
- Inform Tuning Shop of needed Thermal track vehicle service
- Assist with track car preparation
- Work in a team environment
- Any additional tasks required by management
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to reach, bend and stoop
- Must be able to push, pull or lift 75lbs
- Work in sunny outdoor environment
- Work in loud and dusty conditions
