About the role:

As a Quality/Project Engineer, your main role will be defining the procedures and rollout to ensure that the products developed by the aero, design and competition groups are implemented correctly and swiftly.  The goal is to streamline the process of providing the highest quality product (race car) every week. This includes developing and maintaining our technical document library, establishing and implementing quality standards and interacting within the various departments to ensure a seamless flow of information.  

Additionally, you need a solid technical understanding of all motorsports disciplines to help bring concept to reality and the understanding of how and why so that we execute to get the desired performance.  The Quality Project Engineer will test items, develop solutions, and implement – this role will touch on all aspects of project engineering.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare, review, revise and maintain our technical document library. The primary goal of the library is to transfer complex engineering data/procedures/guidelines into an easily understood and accessible format.
  • Create component field service and product life management definitions
  • Establish quality control standards for prototype/production projects
  • Make presentations or otherwise communicate the progress of projects or project activities, outcomes or issues to Engineering staff, management and production partners
  • Project management from concept to production
  • Perform CAD design of required components
  • Direct testing activities on designs - analyze testing data and determine design changes based on the results

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
  • Experience with CAD software required
  • Motorsports experience preferred
  • Must be thorough with a strong sense of attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must work well under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to build internal relationships and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Self-motivated, driven, success-oriented individual with collaborative communication style
  • The determination to work harder than anyone you know
