Role Overview

As Fisker returns to market the Quality and reliability of the product is paramount in establishing the brand name and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires the Manager to set the standards and develop the processes that receive the incoming parts and deliver the final produced vehicles to the highest automotive standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Quality standards and scoring systems defining the final product standards.
  • Develop the Quality glidepath from Virtual builds through to SoP.
  • Align with Engineering and Manufacture to agree the visual standards (Grey book). Set the shipping standards.
  • Define the process of audit and release through batch processes during the build phases and SoP
  • Define and deliver the Customer acceptance criteria through SoP and into Serial process.
  • Ensure that all legal Quality requirements for all markets are defined including market holds and specific market audits.
  • Develop Fresh eyes process during initial build phases and ensure required changes meet Quality standards.
  • Instigate and manage Gate hold and stop ship management processes through pre-builds and Serial production.
  • With matched pair oversee the cubing and black body processes.
  • Responsible for vehicle harmony color, grain, gloss, and surface quality
  • Define Part submission standards. Working with engineering, purchasing lead a team to deliver correct quality components for each build phase.
  • Develop the part submission documentation to the latest standards.
  • With suppliers align boundry samples and oversee and evaluate part disputes.
  • Track and resolve all Quality issues to closure, weekly Leadership report out
  • Confirm all J.D. Power IQS targets are met
  • Confirm all vehicle targets are met
  • Make crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without product process
  • Oversee production to ensure conformance to design intent
  • Training and managing production line staff in production and quality practices
  • Provide accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline. 
  • Min 10 years in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in leading collaborative teams towards the achievement of both department and wider business goals.
  • Knowledge of Quality systems. Minimum 5 years in Quality Management with relevant qualifications
  • Qualified Six Sigma Black Belt / Lean trained.
  • Knowledge of vehicle development processes, milestones and deliverables.ger
