Quality Assurance Technician

Quality Inspector Job Duties.

  • Perform detailed dimensional inspections.
  • Develop inspection methods to confirm conformance to specifications.
  • Prepare detailed 1st Article, In Process and Final Inspections, prepare reports.
  • Interpret materials data sheets, approve incoming materials,ensuring material meets specifications.
  • Inspect parts prior to going to outside process,prepare any required outgoing supporting documentation. Inspect upon return, log and file outside process documents.
  • Receive customer returned materials (RMA), confirm non-conformance, update database.
  • Prepare required customer Quality conformance documentation packets.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection tools & equipment.
  • Perform product identification & tractability activities as required.
  • Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions.

Skills

  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret technical specification and part prints.
  • Must be able to use measuring tools, gauges and equipment, OMM & Optical Comparator a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good Clerical & organizational skills.
  • Self started, self motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, motivated to act with urgency and responsiveness.
  • Outstanding attendance record.
  • Able to work day & swing shift with overtime if needed.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensional and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Education & Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in Quality Assurance Inspection roll, preferably Machine shop inspection experience.
  • ASQ Certification a plus.
  • Formal Quality Training Courses a plus
  • Experience in AS9100 Environment.
