Project Engineer

Finecast is world class manufacturer of high quality machined cast components. Our advanced manufacturing facility and committed team supports leading Motorsport, Automotive OEM and Defence customers with cutting edge development and prototype components.

To support our expansion, we are looking to recruit a Project Engineer. This role would suit a driven graduate with proven industry experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The relevant manufacturing and commercial training will be provided to offer a long term successful and exciting engineering career.

Role Description

  • Be accountable for the successful management of projects from conception through to delivery of components.
  • Engage customers from enquiry stage to understand project and engineering requirements. Work with our engineering and commercial team to prepare concise and accurate quotations.
  • Work across all departments and manufacturing process throughout our business to communicate project and engineering requirements to ensure the on time delivery and the highest quality of product.
  • Maintain communication with customers to provide real time project updates. It will be your responsibility to be the main point of contact supported by our technical and commercial team.
  • Organise and attend project meetings with customers supported by relevant engineering or commercial team.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, ideally in a Mechanical or Manufacturing discipline.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 3 years project management or production experience within automotive, motorsport defence or mechanical engineering industry. Ideally experienced in foundry or machining. Could come from a design engineer background with a major automotive company.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate directly with customers, suppliers and engineers and managers across our business.
  • Ability to read and review 2D engineering drawings/3D models via solid works and other viewers.
  • Competent Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation ability.
  • Be driven and have the ability to lead and operate as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and internally as our customer base is global. We would be especially interested to receive applications from bilingual candidates for this role.

Salary & Package:

Dependant on your experience, we will offer starting salary of up to £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with 22 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays).
