Project Engineer

As the Project Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to ensure on-time development and delivery of different electric powertrain components. Basically, you’ll develop project management plans for activities related to development of power electronics components, electric motor, gearbox, etc, and work closely with the engineering team on plans’ execution. Specific tasks include:

  • Develop Project Management Plans for projects related to development of gearbox, electric motors, and power electronics components
  • Review sub-system and component level requirements and ensure consistency of requirements
  • Develop Program and Component Timing plans
  • Acquire basic understanding of technical and regulatory requirements for each component
  • Work with test and validation group to ensure the component meets all requirements.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure final product complies with all company objectives
  • Manage budget and schedule of components to ensure compliance to overall company goals
  • Acquire basic understanding of technical details of component
  • Lead system level DFMEA and supplier component level DFMEA.
  • Support PFMEA
  • Support troubleshooting during the test and validation phase
  • Support manufacturing in build of Gamma and Production vehicles
  • Execute cost reduction activities

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering
  • 3 years of experience in automotive industry
  • Design Release experience of automotive components through production
  • Experience with CAD and PLM tools

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CATIA experience
  • Familiarity with supply chain, and quality engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
