Program Lead - Digital Transformation

OVERVIEW: The Program Lead works within the Pratt Miller Business Information Services group to empower the resources within Pratt Miller to do their jobs effectively and efficiently through the selection, implementation and continued improvement of business applications, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience within the engineering domain, and an understanding in the areas of, but not limited to, Finance, Sales, Program Management, and Resource Management. Experience in the Mobility and/or Defense Markets is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Enabling or improving processes by leveraging Applications, Systems and Data.
  • Liaise with external organizations in evaluating Applications and Systems to improve internal processes.
  • Collaborate with the Pratt Miller leadership team to define objective selection criteria for Application and Systems candidates, facilitate final selection process, and build consensus around a chosen solution.
  • Manage cross-functional team(s) to deploy and operationalize solutions.
  • Report on solution deployment and operationalization status.
  • Collaborate with other team members to
    • Establish comprehensive process measures for applications, systems, and processes.
    • Ensure a continuous improvement process is in place for all deployed solutions.
    • Transition process ownership to designate Process Owner.
  • Conducting Process Maturity Assessment for key business processes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders – identifying process improvement opportunities, process ownership, project sponsorship, leading change, etc.
  • Create and conduct training throughout the organization to introduce both basic level and advanced understanding of lean or continuous improvement concepts.
  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean, or other Process Improvement Methodologies
  • Experience in optimizing operational value streams in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, including various project management elements: quoting, engineering & manufacturing plans, finances, business development, etc.
  • When required, work with Pratt Miller Software Development Team to design and manage custom solutions or integrations
  • Able to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in STEM field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in working in a collaborative team environment with members in multiple locations

  • Extremely good Interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and stay current with technologies and processes

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • M-F, normally starts at 8:00 am.
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate customer project deadlines.
