Are you a Production Supervisor interested in supporting innovative e-drive projects, working with some of the leading names in the automotive, aerospace, and motorsport industries?

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to be responsible for a team of Technicians and defined department within the Manufacturing Function.

You will recruit, train and develop staff as well as managing day to day adherence to timesheets, annual leave, and absence procedures. You will support all business systems and processes in accordance with Quality standards and will monitor and seek to improve the department in accordance with established KPIs.

Our Production Supervisor will;

  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver the objectives set for the department and translate improvement plans into personal objectives for team members and ensure delivery in a timely manner
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and commitment to meet realistic on-time delivery schedules, seeking to identify slippage and implement recovery plans as necessary
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained to carry out their tasks in a timely manner and meeting or exceeding the required quality standards. Maintain a skills matrix, identifying and addressing gaps
  • Conduct a start of shift meeting for every shift or ensure that a deputy runs this in case of absence
  • Reach out to the wider company to resolve issues and maintain workflow
  • Monitor individual morale and performance. Conduct 1-2-1 meetings as well as annual appraisals
  • Implement Personal Improvement Plans if necessary and conduct first stage disciplinary proceedings if required, all with full support of HR and line manager as required
  • Ensure technicians follow work instruction and populate build data capture system. Assist the team with resolving issues and improving process
  • Provide support to escalate material shortages and ensure manufacturing continuity
  • Ensure all Technicians are kept up to date with the latest build procedures and care points
  • Ensure correct specification and quantity of tooling and equipment is available. Maintain tooling record and Preventative Maintenance Plan
  • Ensure all products meet specifications and that quality checks are built into the build process
  • Support accreditation for ISO9001 and IATF16949 in the manufacturing area
  • Be able to risk assess any new equipment or changes to process in the department
  • Make sure that any faulty tools, equipment, or PPE are removed from use and where possible repaired or replaced, ensuring these issues are also reported to the line manager or Health and Safety Group

Our ideal Production Supervisor will;

  • Have a relevant, practically based mechanical or electrical qualification – minimum of C&G or NVQ level 3
  • Be computer literate - fully familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Be methodical, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Have experience in a supervisory role
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Be experienced in low volume complex assembly production environment.
  • Have a professional communication style
  • Be highly Numerate, Fluent English Speaker
  • Be willing to travel as required
  • Hold a full UK Driving License
