Production Scheduler / Planner

Summary: The Production Scheduler position will work closely with department managers to determine and create production schedules. They will also work with Engineering to ensure new parts are correctly entered in the ERP system.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Determine production requirements using the ERP system and provide paperwork to the production floor in order to maintain a smooth flow.
  • Monitor job activity to identify and work with department managers to explain significant variances from standard times and costs.
  • Review job transactions for completeness.
  • Works with others to ensure multiple ERP settings are correct.
  • Works closely with sales team to monitor and update forecasts and safety stocks.
  • Monitors daily job activity to ensure schedule attainment.
  • Assure available resources are properly defined and set up.
  • Reviews and corrects transactional errors each day.
  • Other duties as assigned.
