Production Controller (Scheduling) - Composites

The company:

Williams is one of the world’s most established Formula 1 teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it has been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level Motorsport since the 1960s.

The position:

We are seeking a Production Controller with detailed knowledge of Composite Production assemblies to sequence and schedule the required component parts to meet tight delivery milestones. This role will be within the Composites Production Control team, but will also work closely with the F1 Planning function to ensure key build and race deadlines are met.

The role:

The role will be responsible for generating detailed component-level plans for the manufacture of Composite Production assemblies, and managing the associated scheduling of work in the Composite Production area. This will include embedding, developing and improving the finite capacity scheduling system for Composites Production.

Day-to-day, this role will be focused on generating a realistic schedule for manufacturing, that balances efficient use of resources against achieving optimised on-time delivery. The role will be advising, forecasting and reporting to others within Composites Production and the wider business as to expected completion dates, bottlenecks and constraints and any opportunities for delivery improvement.

The role will also have elements of working closely with other Operations functions and I.T. Support functions to drive both our process and systems forward to continually improve the scheduling toolset in the Composites Production area, and how it interfaces with the rest of the business.
