JAC Products, a leading Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is seeking a Product Engineer to join our fast-paced, growing team in Pontiac, MI! The Product Engineer has ownership for product design and manages the program design and development process.
Your Contributions:
- Manage and execute design-engineering deliverables from concept to delivery.
- Coordinate program design with Program Management, Sales, and Launch Teams, including on-site visits to customers and suppliers.
- Perform Tolerance Stacks / RSS Studies required to complete part designs with consideration to ASME GD&T standards.
- Review designs to assure all manufacturing tolerances are considered in engineering changes or newly created designs.
- Create/review Design Verification Plan based on design, product and program requirements.
- Create/review/update DFMEA and/or DRBFM with Program Launch Team through the life of the program.
- Manage Engineering Change Process; ensure changes are processed and implemented in a timely manner.
- Create and submit customers Engineering Change Request (ECR) documentation per customer expectations/requirements.
- Ownership of all APQP elements of design and engineering.
- Establish and take ownership for design-specific timeles assocaite with 3D and 2D development, testing and validation, and design-engineering PDCA documentation.
- Lead design-engineering meeting meetings, including design reviews, output reviews, and gate deliverable preparation.
- Deliver written and oral presentations to leadership teams on program design-engineering status.
- Lead program-specific VA/VE process in accordance with company milestones.
