Job Description

MRN seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Producer based in Concord, NC.

SUMMARY

The Producer supervises and coordinates all aspects of assigned live events from conception to execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop concepts and ideas for events and shows
  • Oversee operations, direct staff and coordinate technical and production aspects of events and shows
  • Use skill, talent and knowledge of best practices to acquire and edit materials and shows for broadcast in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment (including live remote events and live studio productions)
  • Work with Logistics to secure staff and equipment.
  • Work closely with the leadership to manage budgets
  • Field produce off-sight interviews and garage tapings
  • Write, rewrite and polish scripts prior to use in productions
  • Assist in editing and logging of production material gathered in the field
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with drivers, crew members, industry stakeholders and other individuals as needed
  • Travel: 75%, including weekends

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE                                              

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four (4) year college or university and minimum of five (5) years of studio and/or remote production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES                                    

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Able to carry out duties with little direct supervision
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule to accommodate deadlines
  • Familiarity with editing and audio equipment
  • Knowledge of auto racing, its personalities and history
