Procurement Coordinator

The position:

We are currently seeking a Procurement Coordinator who will represent our procurement team with the provision of robust and dependable procurement and partnering expertise to the business.

The role:

Reporting to the Procurement Manager.

To establish a strong working relationship with Production Managers and to ensure their outsourced Specialist Process requirements and expediting needs are fully understood and supported by the Procurement Team.
To supervise and coordinate the Procurement administrative team in the expediting and delivery of critical parts and raw materials into and through the business.
Report any late deliveries to the relevant Procurement Staff and Internal Customers daily and coordinate the resultant corrective measures.
To take ownership, rationalise and develop the Specialist Process Supplier base to those that provide best value to the business.
Place orders with nominated / approved Specialist Process Suppliers.
You will ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services are met in terms of optimised cost, delivered to the end user on time and to the required quality standard.
Help support the wider Procurement Team with the processing of quality issues (non-conforming parts / faults).
This is a technical procurement role with a focus on the outsourcing of the businesses Specialist Process requirements, so an understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes is a requirement.

Education and experience:

You will have at least 3 years of proven previous procurement experience working within a fast-changing engineering or manufacturing environment.
F1, Automotive, Motorsports or Aerospace procurement experience is desirable.
Technical Procurement experience.
Ability to establish strong relationships internally and externally at all levels of business.
Good problem solving and team working skills with ability to work under own initiative.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills are essential.
