Process Engineer

Description

Partners with cross-functional teams, in the application of process engineering and lean manufacturing principles to design and/or optimize processes and their overall performance. Executes process improvement projects that sustainably improve business deliverables.

Responsibilities includes identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects to produce tangible savings (time and dollar value); Investigate and execute process improvements to the flow of the products from concept through assembly and manufacturing; Deploy programs across the departments to move the overall culture in the operations to drive efficiencies and increase productivity by way of coaching, mentoring, and training employees on improvement tools such as: Lean Thinking, 5S and Lean & Waste elimination approaches; Monitor, track, and report implementation plans and progress in pursuit of projects and KPI’s.

Qualifications

Requirements are Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and 3+ years of experience with manufacturing and quality business processes. Experience with process improvement, such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles. 1+ years of practical experience leading kaizen events and teaching and coaching and implementing operational excellence tools. Lead Lean Continuous Improvement projects.
