Key duties and responsibilities
- Define software control, quality and maintenance processes
- Develop and maintain top-level vehicle software requirements including feature implementation and maturity growth plans
- Establish and maintain the company software issues tracking system
- Review and approve software development, verification & validation and control plans
- Support release activities of electrical systems in the software domain
- Establish integration test requirements
- Ensure software parts are correctly structured in the BoM
Qualifications and Experience
- Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree with an overall grade 2:1 or higher. A post graduate qualification would be preferred.
- Expert understanding of automotive software design, development, release and distribution
- Software development life-cycle and methodologies
- Integration and validation testing
- Team and project leadership experience
- Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures, communication protocols and diagnostics
