Performance Marketing and Field Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will excel at connecting our products with the needs of targeted customers. Through your expertise on the products and needs of clients, the sales representative will educate new customers on the beneficial offering of the products while driving sales. The sale representative position will require passion and tenacity to proactively pursue business opportunities with potential clients in person, at vendor locations, trade shows, and over the phone, while advising customers of appropriate product options and pricing. A qualified candidate will have strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cooperatively to help the team achieve their goals. The sales representative will be responsible for creating outbound e-communications and newsletters as well as developing and maintaining the company’s social media accounts and website. This position will also perform sales research and assist with developing marketing strategies while executing sales and growing revenue.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Coordination and execution of industry trade shows and demonstrations; set up/tear down, product transportation, coordination with event personnel, and promptly follow up on leads.
  • Schedule and coordinate client visits on and off-site.
  • Generate new customers through trade shows, campaigns, webinars, meetings, calls, emails, conferences, etc.
  • Address any inquiries related to products for existing and potential customers.
  • Create, maintain, and consistently update customer records and files.
  • Prepare quotations according to predetermined configurations and customer requirements.
  • Track expenses and sales for reporting purposes.
  • Update and execute marketing packages (slicks, mailings, specification sheets, etc.).
  • Update and maintain website and social media platforms.
  • Maintain sales opportunity and customer status information by streamlining customer database.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, distributors, etc.
  • Find new leads through prospecting and conducting research on market/industry trends and events.
  • Support marketing strategy with quarterly client communication and industry updates.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required

Experience: Preferred 4 plus years of experience

Computer Skills: Fluent in the Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams)

Certifications & Licenses:
Schedule Flexibility: Must be able to adjust schedule to accommodate pop up events last minute

Mechanical Skills: Basic mechanical skills required for service and field repair work

Other Requirements: Ability to travel extensively. Ability to work weekends and some holidays. Demonstrated strong understanding of STEED product. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with customers through strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Government sales experience highly valued.
