Performance Group Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the HMPG Project Manager, this position is responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components as they relate to HMPG products.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Responsible for the primary assembly of fabricated and electrical components.
  • Responsible for the primary parts preparation for assembly production. This includes but is not limited to ensuring components meet predetermined diameter specifications, surface treatment requirements, electrical system programming, and initial power monitoring of electrical components.
  • Performs routine static and dynamic load testing of fully assembled items.
  • Assist in inventory management process including reporting of parts consumed, obsolete parts, and provide insight to inventory requirements for production scheduling and forecasting.
  • Responsible for pulling or stocking needed parts from inventory to be consumed during production.
  • Assist in prototyping, internal research and development, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in quality control and quality assurance for all parts received, consumed, and assembled during production
  • Assist in the delivery and pick-up of external vendor supplied components requiring the use of the company vehicle.
  • Resolves issues to ensure production deadlines are met and
  • Travel to customer sites, field testing, and evaluation events, in addition to travel for field service and repairs.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred, Engineering background: Preferred

Experience: 2 plus years of experience

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills

Certifications & Licenses:

Other Requirements: Ability to work a flexible work schedule. Ability to travel. Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical components. Strong ability to problem solve. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair parts or systems.

Primarily works indoors.
