MR Tuning is a leading Performance Tuning and Prestige Service Centre located in Yatala, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Offering race car preparation, performance upgrades, vehicle servicing / maintenance and repairs, MR Tuning is a full service workshop.
As part of the McElrea Group, MR Tuning uses the wealth of race car knowledge from sister company and current Porsche Carrera Cup championship winning team, McElrea Racing to ensure that customers receive the best possible and highest level of workmanship.
MR Tuning is now seeking a highly experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Automotive Mechanic to assist with all facets of the business.
The successful applicant will need:
- To be trade qualified in automotive engineering (Mechanic).
- To have at least 5+ years mechanical experience (post-apprenticeship).
- To have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.
- Valid QLD Drivers licence.
- Experience in all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance, diagnosis and repairs.
- Race / track car preparation experience preferable but not essential.
- Some fabrication skills would be beneficial.
- To be a self-motivated team member, reliable and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously.
- Enthusiasm and common sense is an absolute must.
- Adhere to operational procedures and OH&S.
- Own comprehensive tool kit.
- Previous employment references.
- Ability to interact with and influence customers.

The position is 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, however, there may be a requirement to work and travel on weekends occasionally.
