The International Motor Sports Association, LLC (IMSA) was originally founded in 1969 and owns a long and rich history in sports car racing. Today, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier sports car racing series in North America.
We are seeking qualified candidates for Part Time Official with the International Motor Sports Association. This position includes: Inspector, Starter, Assistant Starter, Flag man, Stop / Go Person, Turn Spotter, Spotter, Pace Car Driver, Pit Road Person, Pit Road Inspector, Garage Official, Roamer / Troubleshooter, Tire Official.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Implement / apply the appropriate pit road / race procedures in a consistent, timely and professional manner.
Perform duties in a timely and authoritative manner while portraying a professional image.
Competent understanding of radio use, procedures and etiquette.
Responsible for securing equipment (e.g. binoculars, watch, flags, radios) for duties assigned and for performing routine checks on same.
Attend meetings and educational seminars.
Approximate travel 90%.
