Part Time Book Keeper

Your role:

As bookkeeper, you’ll be based at our Head Office in Herefordshire helping to ensure the smooth running of our office accounts.

The candidate needs to be dynamic, hard-working and passionate about the role. Self-motivation and good communication skills are essential.

The candidate should be well versed with the Xero accounts package, as well as being an all-rounder in Excel and Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Company accounts in Xero
  • Running the Payroll and company expenses through Receipt bank, along with company pensions
  • Reconciling payments from Shopify, Stripe and other merchants
  • Managing company credit cards, spends, limits etc.
  • VAT, EC Sales
  • Taking responsibility to investigate issues to a satisfactory conclusion and communicating the results.
  • Providing general support to colleagues.
  • Liaising with colleagues to handle requests and queries from senior managers.
  • If required, provide support to other teams.

Experience and qualifications:

  • AAT or Higher qualification
  • An organised and ‘can-do’ approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to adapt and solve problems quickly
  • Professional, confident, discreet, friendly and enthusiastic nature
  • The ability to manage multiple requests and prioritise accordingly
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office – With emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent telephone manner.

The ideal candidate would ideally be flexible with working days. Required 1-2 days per week

Experience:

  • bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)
  • Xero: 1 year (Preferred)
