Job Description:

NASCAR Event management is looking for a professional to fill the Optical Scanning Station Technology Technician opening. This associate will provide program operational support for the Optical Scanning Station. This includes setup, operation, support, teardown, of the rig at NASCAR events.

This role is field and event based:

  • Aligns with NASCAR schedule – 40 weeks per year
  • Consistent travel and work on the weekends
  • Labor intensive due to setup and tear down weekly
  • Prior NASCAR experience is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Setup and teardown of the Inspection Rig at NASCAR events and R&D center
  • Train and support officials that will be interfacing with the rig
  • Keep rig running at a high level without issue
  • Drive to push cycle times down while keeping accuracy high

Approximate travel required: 95%, including weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient on Company provided hardware and software, email, Internet FTP usage. Must be able to use current Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Basic electronics experience (Cat6, HDMI, PoE, network switches).
  • Proficient with computers and networking.
  • Basic programming experience is a preferred.
  • Previous OSS Knowledge/Hawkeye software knowledge is preferred.
