Your responsibilities

In this dynamic role you will frequently travel to customers and attend motorsport events throughout the U.S. You will coordinate and conduct training for our distributors and promote the brand at events.

  • Identifies, prospects and develops business to promote sales in areas of responsibility; continually explores ways to increase sales and profits.
  • Prepares quotes, terms of sales, delivery dates, and warranty obligations.
  • Receives and processes orders in SAP system.
  • Provides technical support assistance/guidance to distributors, dealers and end users as requested.
  • Remains current on suspension design developments and various sanctioning body racing rules.
  • Coordinates and conducts formal training seminars for distributors, dealers and end users.
  • Attends and participate in auto and trade shows; attend race events providing technical support, prospecting sales and promoting overall product and company name visibility.
  • Provide information and recommendations to Product Management and Marketing regarding new, existing or discontinued products, tradeshows and advertisement content/placement.
  • Assist customers in resolution of shipping, billing or product availability issues as requested.
  • Reports back to Head of Motorsports and product management team regarding trends in racing technology and opportunities for innovation.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • In-depth understanding of motorsports related technical sales including a thorough understanding of past and present racing technology and trends and in particular suspension and dampening trends.
  • Strong existing relationships within the motorsports industry as well as strong networking ability to form future relationships.
  • Develops collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  • Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the organization.
  • In-depth working knowledge of motorsport shock applications, springs, and suspension geometry.
  • Expert on current racing technology and rules and awareness of upcoming motorsport trends.
  • Knowledge of race surface nuisances (dirt and asphalt).
  • Proficient technical knowledge and understanding of race car suspension and handling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak knowledgably and confidently at public events.
  • Certificate from automotive/racing technical or vocational school desired.
