Fall-Line Motorsports, a premiere builder and fabricator of racecars for all levels of competition, specializing in BMW, Porsche, Audi and other high-performance makes is seeking an experienced motorsports fabricator to join our team at our facility in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Fall-Line Motorsports unveiled their Grand-Am team in 2006 and won the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS Championship title in 2010 and the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge series in 2014. In addition to fielding 2 GS BMW M3s in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and 1 Porsche GT3 Cup car in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Series, Fall-Line also prepares and fabricates cars for other CTSC teams, SCCA and NASA drivers, track day prepared and high performance street vehicles. The ideal candidate has to be a highly motivated, experienced motorsports fabricator and mechanic with experience in designing, fabricating, MIG and TIG welding, machining, sheet metal, tube fabrication and CAD. In addition, the candidate would have experience in welding sports car roll cages from 4130 chromoly tube, patterning and fabricating sheet metal panels, fuel cell cans and sheet metal gussets. Fabrication of sub-components and stainless exhaust systems will be necessary as well. The candidate must have the ability to problem solve, work well in a team environment and have the ability to adjust to changing priorities while meeting deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to document thorough notes of completed work is a must. Candidates must be prepared to include documentation (portfolio) of their past work with when submitting their resume.
