Motor Sport Development Project Officer – Junior Position

Reporting to the Head of Motor Sport Development and lnnovative Sport Activities, the Motor Sport Development Project Officer will support the development of motor sport and in particular grassroots development programmes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

- Coordinate and support future internal and external development programmes
- Be the contact point for ASNs for grassroots category matters and cooperate with the Development Department
- Support the development of training tools and guidelines for ASNs
- Monitor the entertainment and sport industries (benchmarking), as well as tendencies in society as a whole
- Support the programme related to the creation of new categories
- Support the development of grassroots categories at the national level with ASNs and the Development Department
- Support the various FIA Sporting Commissions in the development of grassroots categories
- Assist with the creation of a “new categories incubator” for grassroots disciplines, including drafting guidelines and regulations

  • FIA MOTORSPORT GAMES

- Assist with the organisation of the FIA Motorsport Games, liaising with the various FIA departments, category managers, suppliers and promoters/sub-promoters, to ensure the efficient and successful organisation of the event, in line with the standards expected by the FIA
- Provide support for ASNs in relation to their participation in the Motorsport Games: creation of national teams, creation of an ASN package that includes all required services and information, organisation of national trials and selections
- Be the daily contact point for ASNs on all matters related to the Motorsport Games

  • FORMULA E CHAMPIONSHIP

- Support the team, working in close collaboration with the FIA Marketing Department to coordinate the marketing and branding strategy for the promotion of the FIA

  • SPORT ADMINISTRATION TASKS

- Visa for the events
- Nominations and contracts for FIA officials
- Administration of the championship(s) / event(s) (invoicing, POs etc.) in direct contact with ASNs, teams, promoters and FIA officials
- Drafting of the Stewards Handbook and FIA Event Team Handbook
- Any other day-to-day administrative duties for ASNs, teams, promoters and FIA officials

PROFILE
- University degree in the relevant field
- 2-3 years' experience in the sport industry
- Experience in coordinating event projects
- Knowledge of motor sport
- Project management approach
- High level of administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of industry and related trends and best practices
- Team player
- Fluent in English; any other language would be significant asset
- Strong IT skills
