The position:
Williams Grand Prix Engineering is seeking a capable and proficient Model Maker to join our Aerodynamics Department.
Role purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Model Maker to join our Aerodynamics Department. Previous experience in model making, machining or composites, within a Formula One/motorsport environment is desirable, as is the confidence and ability to produce models of the highest quality within tight timeframes. You will liaise with other key stakeholders in the aerodynamics groups, to ensure all development projects are correctly specified in terms of technical requirements and timescales.
Key duties:
- Strong knowledge of standard IT packages (Microsoft etc.)
- Basic project management skills
- Ability to take initiative and respond quickly and effectively to problems
- Flexible approach to working hours, particularly under deadline
- Strong attention to detail
- Competent under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills
- Appreciation of confidentiality
- Able to work closely with others
Generally accepted requirements:
Extensive experience of manufacturing in motorsport, ideally with an aerodynamics department
The location:
The Williams Group are based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We offer free onsite parking and large open green spaces to unwind during breaks. We are a short 5 minutes’ from Wantage, our closest town centre.
