Media Assistant

The Media Assistant aids in the creation of media to support Marketing goals alongside channel managers and Marketing Director. In order to be successful in this role, one must possess strong graphic design skills and working knowledge of videography and photography including but not limited to: composition, editing, etc. The Media Assistant must also be able to respect direction while executing tasks with creativity, professionalism and excellent communication. Must possess a proactive mentality with a strong desire to produce quality work within tight deadlines. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

Where you’ll spend your time:

  • Design creative digital media campaigns while adhering to business goals
  • Create content for social media platforms, web pages, blog posts and other mediums ensuring that all content is aligned with marketing voice
  • Edit all videos produced for Marketing purposes
  • Assist in video production efforts including, but not limited to, idea generation, script-writing, lighting, and filming
  • Occasional in-office and on-location photography to support marketing campaigns and to build evergreen repository
  • Supporting marketing team with project organization
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

You have / Are:

  • Formal studies or training in graphic design or similar and/or 2+ years of equivalent experience
  • Portfolio with previous similar assignments performed
  • Strong graphic design skills with the proper use of composition and layout
  • Established knowledge of relevant, but not limited to, graphic design/video editing software such as Adobe Premier and Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in After Effects and knowledge of motion graphics and animation
  • Proven experience in video editing
  • Ability to set up and operate professional audio and/or video recording equipment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to quickly shift gears and reprioritize
  • Proactive and solution-minded
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision
  • As designated, may represent RallySport Direct as a spokesperson in an on-camera capacity
  • Auto Enthusiast is a big plus
  • Ability to balance your creativity while being goal and metrics driven
