Mechanical Engineer - FEA Support

Corvid Technologies is seeking candidates to join its Structural Mechanics Applications Group. Positions are available for entry level and experienced researchers.

Entry level applicants should have an excellent graduate academic record in physics, mechanical engineering, or material science with computer modeling and simulation interests. Master's degree preferred.

Experienced researchers should have 5-10 years of experience in material science and numerical methods. All candidates should be self-motivated and show excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Structural Mechanics Applications Group supports a variety of government programs investigating dynamic phenomena including hyper-velocity penetration, reactive material physics, material characterization, and weapon system evaluation. The group provides a creative environment within a small group using cutting-edge computational technologies.

Knowledge of structural dynamics and mechanics, numerical methods, and finite element analysis is a plus.

Working knowledge of CAD and numerical grid generation techniques and applications is highly recommended.
