As our Materials Handler, you will:

  • Pick, issue and distribute components required for production work orders.
  • Put away components which have been correctly received in the correct bin or location.
  • Support and carry out monthly and annual Perpetual Inventory Counts in line with KPI’s.
  • Catalogue or label items with storage details, such as for COSHH requirements.
  • Play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives such as stock accuracy.
  • Identify and help expedite all priority items.
  • Housekeeping of Stores.
  • Apply and maintain 6-S standards to work areas.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for the team.

What we are looking for in our ideal Materials Handler:

  • Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse stores, ideally engineering related sector.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and logistics / inventory related functionality of an ERP system, SAGE / Sicon is ideal.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, a team player who can demonstrate customer centric awareness.
  • You will ideally hold a fork-lift license, but training will be offered to support our commitment to multi-skilling.
  • You may previously have worked as a Warehouse Picker, Stores / Logistics Operative, Warehouse Administrator, Production Co-ordinator, Production Planning or Procurement Administrator for example.
  • Experience in an engineering workshop environment in one or more of the following sectors: Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport production is preferred but not essential.
