Job Description

Be the primary liaison and communication link between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support supply chain activities for the Commercial Solutions Division.

Essential Functions: 

  • Support activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materials.
  • Issue POs/releases to suppliers
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Manage and implement ECO’s while minimizing impact to Manufacturing
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and manufacturing teams to expedite shipments as needed for the business.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Own maintenance of MRD systems (Macola, Magic, Omnify, Intranet, Extranet and A-Plus/Rumba). Microsoft D365 processes for materials management once ERP system is implemented.
  • Participate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).
  • Work collectively within the CSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices within our businesses.
  • Documentation of all cost savings and avoidances.
  • Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventory classification.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Proactively assist in Corrective Action Request process
  • Must be able to back up team members for vacation days and be willing to work with team on vacation scheduling.
  • Leadership of relevant materials projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Must have an Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education
  • Previous materials, supply chain experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to read Bill of Material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.
  • Strong computer skills; computer skills using Magic, Macola, Windows, Word, Excel and Intranet are required
  • Ability to meet deadlines assigned
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
