Job Description

The candidate must be a self-starter, team player, conscientious, and enthusiastic with positive attitude to assist materials team in receiving, shipping, delivery, nonconforming material, and inventory tracking. Candidate will primarily support Material Handler duties in one of six different departments within the Components Division. Pending demand, candidate may have to cover more than one department on any given day of the week; cross training and willingness to be a team player are crucial to this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Obtain Lift Truck Certification
  • Less than 25% (<10-hour weekly computer entry and/ or processing paperwork)
  • Delivering production parts to point of use
  • First in, first out inventory practice
  • Verbal and clear written communication
  • Use of radio to coordinate with manufacturing and materials team
  • Effectively load / unload trailers and outgoing third-party trucks using lift truck
  • Empty cardboard, garbage, recyclable, and scrap metal dump hoppers
  • PO generation - Faxing PO’s to vendors
  • Expedite/follow-up on open purchase part PO’s
  • Safety First: both on and off lift truck
  • Enjoy working as a team / Team player
  • Ability to multitask- prioritize with more than one task pending

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Lift truck/forklift experience preferred or ability to obtain forklift driver's license upon hire
  • Ability to multitask- prioritize demand / need with more than one task pending
  • Position requires a team player that is considered a self-starter with positive attitude
  • General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook (email), & Excel)
  • Legible writing and clear oral communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dexterity to sit on lift truck up to 10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
  • Willingness to work Overtime to satisfy production demand
