Manufacturing Process Engineer

Williams Advanced Engineering are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Quality and Manufacturing Engineering, this role includes the management and maintenance of the Bill of Process (BOP) for build projects. Using engineering and assembly principles, the successful candidate will define the most efficient and most repeatable process for product assembly and ensure the process is delivered in an intuitive and visual way to production.

Duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include supporting design for manufacture (DFM) reviews and virtual build sessions, working with the wider manufacturing and quality team to ensure product designs can be translated from virtual and prototype phases into repeatable production.

The Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques. You will have experience in the use of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen etc.) and a working knowledge of compiling and approving PPAP/FAIR submissions. Alongside this you will have experience in low and high-volume manufacturing environments.

The successful individual will have extensive knowledge of TS16949, AS9100, ISO14001 and ISO9001 to comply with company processes. You will have experience in Implementing supplier development plans and a proven track record of delivering measurable improvement in supplier performance.

The Individual will have a minimum of an HNC/Degree in engineering or business-related discipline. You will possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills and a desire to work at pace in a multi-project environment.
