ABOUT US
Aero Engine Division of SKF manufactures super precision bearings for industrial and aerospace safety critical applications.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBLITY
Responsible for supporting manufacturing operations to achieve business plan goals while driving continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles. This position will interface directly with all levels of manufacturing and will be accountable for the principle job functions listed below.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to:
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing (Kanban/Pull Systems, 5S, Single piece flow, Line Balancing, SMED, TPM, VSM)
- Six Sigma experience- Blackbelt a plus
- Structured problem-solving skills
- Track record of process improvement and cost reduction
- Capital project management
- Proficient using AutoCAD. NX a plus
- Experience with ERP systems
- Familiar with basic machine controls
- Proficient implementing process control methodologies
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical ability and initiative
- Manufacturing experience – comfortable working with cross-functional teams and actively supporting the production team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Technology and a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
