Role Overview

Working within the Manufacturing team, this role will report to the Sr. Manufacturing E/E Manager located in Graz, Austria. The engineer will work on site alongside the Engineering and Production Partner (Magna Steyr) and the resident Fisker team with the aim of supporting the launch and serial production of the Fisker Ocean. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding skills in analysis, critical thinking, root cause investigation and risk management. The role will require strong communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and alongside external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate E/E activities together with E/E Engineering team, Manufacturing, SQA, Suppliers, Launch Team & Service and external partners.
  • Deliver launch activities and serial production at the manufacturing plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes to deliver to cost, quality and delivery performance targets
  • Coordinate implementation and confirmation of interim containment actions (ICA) and permanent correct actions (PCA) - liaising with team.
  • Responsible for signing off and implementation product changes affecting electrical engineering during the change management process
  • Track, manage and resolve technical issues related to General Assembly and lead cross functional teams to resolve
  • Be first point of contact for any engineering issues identified in plant and coordinate necessary responses 

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience in the automotive sector (experience on an EV is an advantage)
  • Relevant experience with end of line manufacturing systems (e.g.: DSA/VCATS) and maintain, update and read diagnostic data and test sequences.
  • Solid understanding of electrical/electronic commissioning procedure such as ADAS, infotainment, telematics, body, chassis, powertrain procedure or one of these commodities
  • Knowledge and understanding of the vehicle development process, milestones and deliverables is an advantage
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with a keen eye for detail
  • Working knowledge of 8D problem solving methodologies
  • English speaking and a good understanding of written and spoken English (German is an advantage)
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of relevant business systems (i.e.: Microsoft Office)
  • Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and resolution is preferred.
  • Vector Canalyzer, CANoe knowledge is preferred.
