Manager, Track Marketing - West Region

NASCAR is seeking a Manager, Track Marketing professional in Phoenix, AZ.

SUMMARY

The Manager, Track Marketing is responsible for participating in the development and execution of marketing campaigns designed to build awareness and drive attendance to track events. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop local/grassroots marketing plans to drive awareness of NASCAR and other ancillary events
  • Oversee new fan development opportunities at the local level
  • Work closely with central marketing comms and content teams and provide localized expertise
  • Manage tracking and timing of consumer touchpoint deliverables
  • With Driver and Team Marketing, manage in-market driver appearances
  • Oversee direction to Research & Insights team to identify fan/consumer insights to inform campaign plans and messaging.
  • Manage Non-NASCAR event marketing campaigns – music festivals, IndyCar, etc.
  • Support the operations and event experience teams in building out the race weekend content and enhance the fan experience.
  • Assist with the onsite event experience activation plans for event weekends for assigned tracks.
  •  Travel: 15% including some weekends.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 years of motorsports/ sports marketing industry, marketing, project management, public relations/communications experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where are only limited

standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient on company provided hardware and software. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience and familiarity with social media.
