Role Overview

As a newly public EV company based in Los Angeles, California, Fisker, Inc. looking for a highly motivated Manager, SEC Reporting with a "can do" attitude, critical thinking skills, analytical mind, solution orientation, and excellent interpersonal skills to support our business as we position ourselves for growth.

The primary role of this position will be to process payments to evaluate SEC reporting matters, preparing SEC filings such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q and portions of 8-Ks and proxy statements, and ensure compliance with SEC rules and regulations.  This role will report directly to the CAO as well as have line of sight visibility to audit committee, CFO, COO and CEO.   Additionally, Fisker will be reporting on its internal controls over financial reporting.  This role will require an understanding of internal controls and disclosure controls.

Responsibilities

•Strong communication skills with a collaborative team player orientation

•Knowledge and substantial experience with SEC filings (Exchange Act and Securities Act), including registration statements on Forms S-8 and S-3

•Ability to apply SEC rules and regulations to Emerging Growth Companies and Large Accelerated Filers

•Understanding of proxy disclosures including compensation tables 

•Works independently and ability to present to C-suite executives

•Fundamental skillset to research and interpret SEC reporting rules and regulations and conduct SEC filing searches for comparable disclosures or matters

•Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) standards

•Experience preparing MD&A, identifying and disclosing critical accounting policies and estimates, knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply non-GAAP presentation guidance issued by the SEC

•Knowledge of accommodations available to SEC registrants that have recently completed an IPO pursuant to SEC SAB Topics

•Ability to participate in the development of a best-in-class finance function and must be comfortable in establishing new solutions

•Complete ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting

•6-7 years of experience with progressive experience with Big 4/large National public accounting experience 

•At least 2 years of experience within a public EV, automotive, manufacturer or related company preferred

•CPA required

•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately 

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

•Experience with Bill.com, Quickbooks & ERP will be a plus.

•Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.

•Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

•Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
