Manager, Quality

Reporting direct to CEO, this leader will create, manage and ensure quality objectives and targets are being achieved throughout the organization. The Sr. Manager will manage Quality for our multi site organization. He/She will own and lead quality improvement initiatives cross functionally across engineering, production, sourcing, and customer service. This position partners with the executive leadership team and stakeholders to align CTQ standards and quality KPIs.

  • Create and establish quality standards, targets, and KPIs consistent with CTQ specifications and overall strategic direction.
  • Partner with leadership, plant managers and manufacturing teams, suppliers, engineering, sales and customer service, leading a robust and cohesive quality program.
  • Lead quality strategy and develop quality objectives for the company. Effectively drive transformational change in a rapidly evolving complex organization.
  • Lead a team of quality technicians and manage daily operation of lab to serve organization
  • Analyze quality problem areas, develop cost effective, complete solutions, and insure the full implementation and execution of corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance and effectiveness of quality control plans.
  • Facilitate supply chain qualification, quality correlation and auditing.
  • Own and continually improve the quality management system (ISO) ensuring compliance.

Requirements

  • BS Degree (engineering or technical) Required, MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of quality leadership
  • Must have experience in machining operations (CNC experience or knowledge)
  • Must have experience with low volume high mix critical manufacturing
  • Experienced developing and managing business goals & metrics, and achieving YOY improvements
  • Successful deployment of functional quality systems over multi-site organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and documentation.
  • Experience in Lean Mfg. and continuous improvement (Kaizan).
  • Strong team building and leadership skills, proven record developing talent
  • Lean Mfg., Six Sigma, Green/Black Belt knowledge.
  • Automotive internal engine hard part manufacturing experience preferred
